A September 11th Memorial Organization

Hands and Hearts United in Memory, Inc. is a non-profit corporation dedicated to all of those who were affected by the events of September 11th. Our purpose is to unite our country, in healing and in love, in a coast-to-coast human chain on September 11, 2002. Over 5 million people will join hands at 8:48 a.m. (EDT) in a five-minute silent tribute to honor the victims and heroes of the terrorist attacks.

A Note from our founder, Jeremy Scott:

How did you feel on September 11th? Were you afraid? Did you cry? Were you angry? Did you lose a loved one, your job, or your sense of security? Did you want to help, but didn't know how? Were you a youth with limited opportunities to become involved in some meaningful way? Did you want to give comfort, but lived too far away from the attack sites? If you answered "Yes" to any of these questions, then you know how I felt on September 11th.

Do you want to participate in a meaningful memorial event on September 11, 2002? I do. My name is Jeremy Scott and I am 16 years old. I am organizing a national memorial event on the first anniversary of the terrorist attacks. Please look through my web site and learn more about my project. I need your help.

There are many ways you can lend a hand...

Participate with me on September 11, 2002. I need 5 million people to join hands in order to reach our goal of an unbroken, coast-to-coast human chain.

By purchasing a T-shirt or by donating even a $1.00, you will help me to pay for event insurance, encroachment permits and communications expenses incurred as a result of organizing this memorial tribute. I am proud to tell you that none of the people working on this event, including myself, are being paid.

Spread the word to everyone you know. I hope that everyone has the chance to know about this event before it takes place; so that they will have the chance to be a part of this healing event.
